For patients with a summer deadline in mind, April and May are the months that matter. The treatments that produce the most meaningful improvement to skin quality, firmness and definition – Profhilo, Julaine, Sofwave, Morpheus8 – all work over weeks to months rather than overnight. A course started now lands in time for July. A course started in July does not.
At L’Atelier Aesthetics, 101 Harley Street, spring is consistently the busiest planning period at the clinic. Patients who want to look their best by summer need a programme that is sequenced correctly and started early enough for each stage to take full effect. This guide sets out the treatments most commonly planned for a summer timeline and the booking windows that make them work.
For most patients at the clinic, a well-constructed spring plan consists of a skin quality foundation with Profhilo, a firming step with Sofwave or Morpheus8 depending on the presenting concern, maintenance injectables where appropriate, and a surface treatment such as CoolPeel or a chemical peel in May as a finishing layer. The result, planned correctly, lands in full by late June or July.

Most aesthetic treatments have a lead time that patients underestimate. Profhilo and Julaine build their full effect over eight to twelve weeks as the skin responds. Sofwave and Morpheus8 produce their best results at around three months after the final session. CoolPeel settles quickly but the skin continues to refine over the following two to three months.
A treatment booked in April has fully landed by July. A treatment booked in July has not.
Spring also reduces the risk associated with resurfacing and pigmentation work specifically. Many laser treatments increase the skin’s sensitivity to sun exposure in the weeks following treatment, and pigmentation results in particular can be reversed by strong summer sun. Treating in spring, when sun exposure is at its lowest, keeps results more predictable and reduces the need for strict avoidance during the recovery period.

Spring planning suits three types of patient. First, those with a specific summer event or trip in the diary who want to look their best for it. Second, patients who prefer to schedule more intensive treatments in spring and autumn and lighter maintenance in between. Third, patients who are new to aesthetic treatments and want to start a course with enough time for results to develop before summer.
For patients with travel planned in the next six weeks, resurfacing and energy-based treatments are generally better deferred until after the trip. Injectables are more flexible, but even those benefit from a week or two of settling time before a long flight.
| Treatment | Why book it in spring |
|---|---|
Profhilo | A two-session course started in April has fully landed by the end of June, leaving the face looking more hydrated, firmer and more even in tone. |
Sofwave | Uses focused energy to firm and lift with no visible downtime. Peak results are at three months, so a session in April or May is in time for July. |
Morpheus8 | A three-session course started in late February or early March is comfortably finished with enough time to settle before summer. |
CoolPeel | A single session in mid-May gives enough recovery time before a July holiday, with the skin looking visibly smoother and more even. Pair with careful sun protection for six weeks afterwards. |
Julaine | One to two treatments in April or May, with the full firming result landing in July or August. |
Anti-wrinkle injections | Take about two weeks to work fully, making them the most flexible option. A top-up two to three weeks before a big event is usually fine. |
As a general guide: Morpheus8 and Julaine are best started in late February or early March, given their eight to twelve week lead time. Profhilo and Sofwave suit April or early May. CoolPeel works well scheduled for mid-May. Anti-wrinkle injections and peels can sit in late May or June as the finishing layer. Dr Brennand will confirm the exact sequence at consultation based on the presenting concerns, any events in the diary and travel plans in between.

“The mistake I see patients make is leaving it too late. You cannot book a Profhilo course in mid-June and expect it to be working by July. Plan the deeper work in March or April, layer the refinements in May, and leave last-minute injectables as the final polish. That is how you arrive at a summer holiday looking like yourself, only more rested.”

We recommend starting longer-course treatments such as Profhilo, Julaine and Morpheus8 in late February, March or April so the results are fully in place by July. Shorter treatments like anti-wrinkle injections and a Hydrafacial can be scheduled two to three weeks before a specific event.
Light laser maintenance is usually fine in summer, but deeper resurfacing, CoolPeel and pigmentation work are best done in spring or autumn when sun exposure is lower. Dr Brennand will advise at consultation based on your plans and how much sun exposure you expect.
Both are good spring options. Profhilo improves the overall quality, hydration and glow of the skin. Sofwave works on firming and lifting. For a holiday brief, Profhilo gives the faster visible glow. Sofwave gives the firmer, more defined result.
Anti-wrinkle injections take about two weeks to work fully, so we recommend booking them two to three weeks before a specific event. Earlier is fine. Later risks the result not having fully settled by the day.
Yes, and most spring plans at the clinic do. Dr Brennand will sequence the treatments in the right order so they build on each other rather than overlap. That is what the consultation is for.
It depends on the treatment. Profhilo is still achievable in six weeks. Anti-wrinkle injections and a chemical peel can add a polish in the final fortnight. Deeper collagen-stimulating work like Julaine or a full Morpheus8 course is better started three to four months out, but there is still useful work we can do with less time available.
