Dr Duncan Brennand

FRCR MBBS BSc Hons

Duncan is an Aesthetic Physician with a wealth of experience in cutting-edge as well as evidence-based techniques and treatments.

After many years of intensive study, Duncan was appointed as Consultant Interventional Radiologist at University College London Hospital in 2006. Today, he is an internationally- recognised expert in minimally-invasive, image-guided percutaneous interventions.

His interest in aesthetic medicine and surgery developed when he worked as part of the plastic surgery team at The Middlesex Hospital in 1999. As new and exciting aesthetic procedures were developed and introduced into clinical practice, it was clear that aesthetic medicine was the perfect fit for Duncan’s expertise, experience and passion.

By learning from leading doctors and pioneering practitioners, Duncan has brought a fresh, radical approach to the ever-evolving area of aesthetic medicine. It’s this approach that can be seen so clearly in L’Atelier today.

Emma Appleby

BHSc(MI)

Emma grew up in New Zealand, she studied health sciences at University in both Auckland and Christchurch and qualified with a bachelors degree in 2006. She then embarked on a successful career as a radiographer, working at specialist centres in New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

Relocating to London allowed Emma to embark on a new chapter of her working life. Her research at university had led to her become a passionate advocate for healthy lifestyle choices, and in particular the importance of skin health, she translated this passion into training and added vocational qualifications beauty therapy (NVQ level 3) and aesthetics to her health sciences degree.

At L’Atelier Aesthetics Emma leads our skin care programme development and is particularly skilled in skin peels and microneedling. More recently she has also undergone training in mesotherapy, which is an area she feels can really complement her other areas of expertise.

Ruth Tongue

MSc Nutritionist, BSc Sport and Exercise Sciences, STOTT Pilates trainer.

Ruth Tongue is an MSc qualified nutritionist and STOTT Pilates teacher and has been working in health and wellness for over 10 years. She works with athletes, footballers, children and businesses to improve diet and health. As a nutritionist and health expert, Ruth contributes to many national and international publications such as Top Sante magazine, Running Fitness magazine and Women’s Fitness, as well as regularly appearing as a nutrition and health expert for the BBC. Ruth specialises in nutrition for weight loss, skin health, sports nutrition, and women’s health, as well as stress management, anxiety, and emotional eating.

Ruth also teaches Pilates across London as well as running regular retreats and events in Mallorca, the South of France and most recently Mexico!

Jesse Taura

Jesse is from Sydney in Australia, she is passionate about all things skin health and function!

Jesse is currently studying a bachelor’s degree in Health Science Aesthetics, a fairly new qualification offered in Australia that is the highest recognised qualification an aesthetician or clinical aesthetician can obtain.

Jesse has worked with many clients through consultations and medical facials, suffering skin concerns from Acne to Hyperpigmentation and Rosacea to help clients better understand the physiology of their skin and route to treating these conditions.

Jesse’s passion stems from a deep interest in understanding how the skin works and what it needs to function in an optimal way. Years of experience with skin has helped Jesse to diagnose the factors influencing skin diseases and concerns and prescribe medical skincare and treatments to improve skin function in a holistic approach.

Jesse believes healthy skin is achieved with consistent care, there is no one-size fits all approach and no miracle serum, longevity is achieved with consistent application of skincare advice and expert guidance to get you where you want to be!
