Stubborn fat and loose skin, finally met with an answer. BodyTite contours and reshapes from beneath the skin, with result that build over 6 to 12 months.
BodyTite uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis to tighten loose skin, stimulate collagen and recontour the body from beneath the surface. Every treatment at L’Atelier Aesthetics is led personally by Dr Duncan Brennand.
BodyTite is a minimally invasive body contouring and skin tightening treatment that uses radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to tighten loose skin, stimulate collagen and reduce localised body fat from beneath the skin surface. It produces structural improvement in areas such as the abdomen, upper arms, inner thighs and flanks that non-invasive surface treatments cannot replicate, without the scarring or recovery time of excisional surgery such as an arm lift or tummy tuck.
BodyTite involves small incisions made under local anaesthetic, through which a fine probe is inserted. It is not a non-surgical treatment. This distinction is clinically significant: it is the subdermal access that allows BodyTite to achieve tissue contraction and contouring at a level that devices applied to the skin surface cannot match. BodyTite can be performed as a standalone skin tightening procedure or combined with liposuction in the same session, depending on the patient’s goals and anatomy. These are two distinct components of the procedure, and Dr Duncan Brennand will discuss which combination is appropriate at consultation. Every BodyTite treatment at L’Atelier Aesthetics on Harley Street begins with a personal consultation with Dr Brennand.
BodyTite uses RFAL technology to deliver bipolar radiofrequency energy simultaneously from a small internal probe beneath the skin and an external electrode positioned on the skin surface. This creates a precisely controlled field of RF energy that heats the subdermal tissue, causing collagen fibres to contract immediately and the overlying skin to tighten. At the same time, the heat liquefies localised fat cells, which can then be gently aspirated if liposuction is being performed in the same session.
The temperature is monitored in real time throughout the procedure, allowing for a safe and consistent result. Following treatment, the body’s natural collagen remodelling process continues to improve skin firmness and contour over the following months. Results typically begin to become visible at around 3 to 4 months and peak between 6 and 12 months post-procedure. Some patients continue to see improvement for up to 18 months.
BodyTite is effective across a range of body areas where skin laxity and localised fat are the primary concerns. At L’Atelier Aesthetics, Dr Duncan Brennand uses BodyTite to address the following:
Loose abdominal skin following pregnancy, significant weight loss or natural ageing is one of the most common concerns addressed with BodyTite. The treatment tightens the skin and underlying tissue, reducing laxity and improving contour without the scarring and extended recovery of a tummy tuck.
Excess skin and fat in the upper arms, often referred to as bat wings, is one of the most frequently treated areas with BodyTite. For many patients this concern is genetic and resistant to diet and exercise. BodyTite reduces the excess tissue and tightens the skin, improving the arm profile without the elbow-to-armpit scar associated with a brachioplasty.
Skin laxity and localised fat on the inner or outer thighs can be addressed with BodyTite, improving the definition of the thigh and reducing the rubbing or chafing that some patients experience. Results develop gradually as the skin retracts and collagen regenerates.
Localised fat and skin laxity around the back and bra line is a common concern, particularly in patients who have experienced weight fluctuations. BodyTite can reduce and tighten this area, improving the appearance of the back in clothing.
Loose skin above and around the knee is a concern that very few treatments address effectively. BodyTite can tighten this area, improving the contour and appearance of the lower leg.
For patients who have experienced significant weight loss, whether through lifestyle changes or GLP-1 medications, BodyTite can help to tighten and recontour areas where the skin has not fully retracted. Dr Brennand will assess the degree of laxity and advise whether BodyTite alone, or a combination approach, is most appropriate for your situation.
Before and after images are one of the most important references when researching FaceTite. At L’Atelier Aesthetics, Dr Duncan Brennand photographs every patient at their consultation, creating a proper baseline against which results can be measured. During your appointment, Dr Brennand will show you a selection of patient images with concerns similar to your own, so you can develop a realistic understanding of what FaceTite can achieve.
When reviewing FaceTite before and after images from any clinic, look for consistency of results across multiple patients, natural-looking outcomes rather than overtly altered appearances, and clear improvement in the specific concern you are hoping to address.

BodyTite produces real results, but I think it is important to be honest about what those results look like and when you will see them. The most common mistake I see in patients who have had disappointing outcomes elsewhere is that they expected visible improvement within the first few weeks. The treatment works by stimulating your body’s own collagen remodelling, and that takes time. Most patients begin to notice meaningful change at around 3 to 4 months, with full results at 6 to 12 months. Understanding that timeline before you commit is important.
The other question I hear often is whether BodyTite will work for a particular patient. The honest answer is that it depends on the degree of laxity, the area being treated, the patient’s skin quality and their anatomy. BodyTite works very well for patients with mild to moderate laxity in the right areas. For patients with very significant or extensive laxity, an excisional procedure may ultimately be a more appropriate solution, and I will say so at consultation. Patient selection is the most important part of getting a good result.

I had one of the best chemical peels with the lovely Kate! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Kate made me feel completely at ease throughout the entire experience.
I’m thrilled with the results – my skin is glowing, and I’m already looking forward to my next treatment! I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a top-quality beauty treatment. Thank you so much – I’ll definitely be coming back!
Loved my skin peel with Kate today. Kate is always so warm, welcoming and super informative about each step of the treatment. as well as the after care. I’m new to L’Atelier Aesthetics and can’t say enough great things about everyone. Looking forward to more treatments and a great skin journey!
BodyTite is most effective for patients with mild to moderate skin laxity in specific body areas who are looking for a result that goes beyond what non-invasive treatments can provide, without undergoing excisional surgery. Good candidates are in good general health and fit for a local anaesthetic procedure. Patients with good skin elasticity tend to see better results, as the skin is more responsive to the contraction stimulated by the RF energy.
BodyTite is not a weight loss treatment and is not suitable for patients whose primary concern is overall body weight rather than localised skin laxity and fat. For patients with very significant laxity, a surgical approach such as a tummy tuck or arm lift may ultimately deliver a more complete result. Dr Brennand will assess this honestly at your consultation.
At L’Atelier Aesthetics, we plan treatment from the outset rather than adding procedures reactively. For many BodyTite patients, a coordinated combination approach produces better and longer-lasting results than BodyTite alone.
BodyTite is frequently combined with liposuction in the same session: the RF energy tightens and contracts the tissue while liposuction removes the liquefied fat for a more defined contour. This is particularly effective in areas such as the abdomen and upper arms where both fat reduction and skin tightening are needed. BodyTite and liposuction are distinct procedures that complement each other, and Dr Brennand will advise whether combining them is appropriate for your anatomy and goals.
For patients focused on skin quality alongside contouring, Morpheus8 Body can be added to address surface skin texture, fine lines and further collagen stimulation. Skin boosters such as Profhilo can be introduced as part of a maintenance programme following BodyTite. All combination planning is discussed and agreed with Dr Brennand at consultation.

BodyTite is a minimally invasive body contouring and skin tightening treatment that uses bipolar radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to tighten loose skin, stimulate collagen production and reduce localised body fat beneath the skin surface. It is performed under local anaesthetic through tiny incisions and can be used on areas including the abdomen, upper arms, thighs, back and knees. BodyTite can be performed as a standalone skin tightening treatment or combined with liposuction in the same session.
No. BodyTite and liposuction are distinct treatments that are frequently performed together but are not the same thing. Liposuction removes fat mechanically using a cannula. BodyTite uses radiofrequency energy to heat and contract the subdermal tissue and tighten the overlying skin, and can also liquefy fat as a by-product of the heating process. When performed together in the same session, BodyTite provides the skin tightening component that liposuction alone does not deliver, producing a more refined and contoured result.
BodyTite can be used on the abdomen and flanks, upper arms, inner and outer thighs, back and bra line, knees, and areas affected by post-weight loss skin laxity. It is most effective for areas with mild to moderate laxity where non-invasive treatments have not been sufficient and excisional surgery is not desired.
The exact cost depends on the areas being treated and the complexity of your individual case, which is assessed at consultation. Full pricing is available on our pricing page. We do not offer discounts or promotions on clinical treatments.
BodyTite results are long-lasting. The collagen remodelling triggered by the treatment produces improvements that develop over 6 to 12 months and, once fully established, are generally durable. The longevity of results will depend on your age, skin quality and how your skin continues to age naturally. Maintaining a stable weight and a consistent skin quality programme helps to preserve results over time.
BodyTite requires very small incisions, typically no larger than a few millimetres, through which the probe is inserted. These entry points are minimal and, once healed, are usually barely visible. They do not leave the long scars associated with excisional procedures such as an arm lift. As with any procedure involving incisions, healing and scar appearance can vary between patients and are influenced by skin type and aftercare.
BodyTite and CoolSculpting address different concerns and work in fundamentally different ways. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive fat freezing treatment that targets and destroys fat cells beneath the skin without incisions. It reduces localised fat but does not tighten loose skin. BodyTite uses radiofrequency energy delivered through a small internal probe to contract the subdermal tissue, tighten the overlying skin and, if needed, liquefy and remove fat in the same session. For patients whose primary concern is skin laxity rather than fat reduction alone, BodyTite is generally the more appropriate treatment.
Yes. At L’Atelier Aesthetics we recommend a combination approach planned from the start of your treatment journey. BodyTite is frequently combined with liposuction in the same session for a more comprehensive contouring result. It can also be combined with Morpheus8 Body to address surface skin quality alongside deeper tissue tightening, and with skin boosters as part of a longer-term maintenance programme. All combinations are discussed and agreed with Dr Brennand at your consultation.
