They are extremely safe when administered by a trained professional like Dr Duncan Brennand. There may be some post-procedural swelling but this will soon subside.
As with all dermal-filler techniques there can be some minor discomfort during the procedure. We keep this to an absolute minimum by applying topical anaesthetic (numbing cream). In addition, the dermal fillers also contain anaesthetic to reduce pain.
Any swelling or redness will subside soon after the treatment but until it does, avoid sun beds, saunas, steam rooms and extreme temperatures. There may be some minor bruising, but this will go down after a few days. It’s also important to not wear make-up for 12 hours after your treatment.
