We’re proud to partner with The Iron Clinic, founded by Professor Toby Richards, a world-leading expert in the treatment of iron therapy. Based in Marylebone & Mayfair, this specialist skin clinic was one of the first private clinics to offer iron infusions on an outpatient basis.
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies worldwide and a leading cause of ongoing fatigue, reduced concentration and poor physical performance. Even mild iron deficiency can significantly impact energy levels, immune function and overall wellbeing, often long before anaemia is diagnosed.
The Iron Clinic at L’Atelier Aesthetics, 101 Harley Street, Marylebone provides medically appropriate assessment and iron infusion treatment for patients with confirmed or suspected iron deficiency, offering a fast and effective way to restore iron levels when oral supplementation is insufficient or poorly tolerated

Iron is an essential mineral required to produce haemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Adequate iron levels are vital for energy production, brain function, muscle performance and immune health.
Iron deficiency develops when iron intake, absorption or storage does not meet the body’s demands. This can occur gradually and is often missed, with symptoms attributed to stress, lifestyle or ageing rather than an underlying deficiency.
If left untreated, iron deficiency may progress to iron deficiency anaemia, where haemoglobin levels fall below normal ranges.

Iron deficiency can present in a wide range of ways, depending on severity and duration. Common symptoms include:
Symptoms may be present even when haemoglobin levels are within normal limits, particularly in early or functional iron deficiency.
Iron infusion therapy delivers iron directly into the bloodstream via an intravenous infusion. This allows iron to be rapidly available for red blood cell production and replenishment of iron stores. Unlike oral iron supplements, intravenous iron bypasses the digestive system, making it particularly effective for patients who experience gastrointestinal side effects, have absorption issues, or require faster correction of iron levels. Treatment is tailored to the individual based on clinical assessment and blood test results.
If you still have questions about Iron Infusion, or would like to speak to a member of the team. You can contact us by; Phone, Email, WhatsApp and WebForm. It is our upmost priority that during your stay at 101 Harley Street, whether in our surgical or non surgical clinic, you feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable, so please do not hesitate to reach out to any of our highly trained team should you require anything.
All patients attending the L’Atelier Iron Clinic undergo a medical consultation prior to treatment. This includes a review of symptoms, medical history, contributing factors and recent blood tests where available.
If required, further blood tests may be recommended to confirm iron deficiency and determine the most appropriate treatment approach. Iron infusion is only offered when clinically indicated and safe.
The Iron Clinic will take a small sample of your blood to determine whether your iron levels are low. They will then advise if an iron infusion would be beneficial and if so, the iron dosage to be infused.
It’s extremely important to treat any underlying causes of iron deficiency and/or anaemia. This will be discussed by your doctor.
Iron infusion treatment is carried out in a clinical setting and typically takes between 30 and 60 minutes. You will be seated comfortably while the infusion is administered under medical supervision.
Most patients tolerate treatment well and are able to return to normal daily activities immediately afterwards. There is no downtime.
If you maintain a healthy diet which includes iron after the iron infusion treatment, symptoms should be improved for the longer term. Most people no longer need to take iron tablets.*
The infusions are a blend of water, vitamins and minerals. The mix of vitamins and minerals is tailored to the individual and their needs. All of the ingredients are nutrients that are essential to life – but the body cannot produce them by itself.
Unlike traditional treatments such as iron tablets and changes to diet, iron infusions can safely replenish iron levels in a single treatment. This is due to 2 new preparations of iron which have been developed in the last 5 years. The new ‘total dose’ infusions correct iron stores rapidly ensuring that iron is delivered straight to the muscles and bone marrow where it is needed most. This means that most people notice an improvement within the first few days feeling less tired with more energy, better concentration and less breathless when taking exercise (excercising).*
The iron infusion is considered to be a safe procedure. Side effects are minor and affect around 3 to 4 people in every 100. They include a metallic taste in the mouth, mild flushing or feeling queasy.
Iron infusion treats iron deficiency and anaemia effectively and safely. Doing so generates a host of health benefits. For example, women’s health can be boosted with proven benefits including more vitality, better quality of life, improved exercise performance and better hair growth.
Intravenous iron is also beneficial in supporting the treatment of many illnesses associated with iron deficiency and anaemia including heart disease. It can also aid cancer therapy and patients undergoing operations.
This walk-in walk-out procedure takes from 15 to 30 minutes.

A medical consultation is required to determine suitability.
Iron infusion is often more effective than oral iron for patients who cannot tolerate supplements, have absorption issues or require faster correction.
