How Often Can I Get Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are a skin-resurfacing treatment that reveals the younger, newer skin below the surface and helps to target concerns such as fine lines, hyperpigmentation and acne scarring.

Today, we’ll examine the levels of chemical peel you can choose from and how often you might need to book a session at our skin clinic.
Superficial Peels
The topmost layer of our skin is called the epidermis. A superficial peel will only remove this outer layer, so it’s safe to have one of these chemical peels 1-2 times per month. Most of our clients choose this type of facial peel for fine wrinkles, uneven skin tone and dryness.
Medium Peels
These types of facial peel penetrate more deeply, targeting both the epidermis and the middle layer of the skin (called the dermis). They target the same concerns we’ve outlined above. Many of our clients need to repeat the facial peel to achieve or maintain results, perhaps 2-3 times per year.
Deep Peels
The deepest layer of chemical peel available, these are especially effective at treating scarring and deep wrinkles. Targeting the skin much more deeply than superficial chemical peels and medium facial peels, you likely won’t need to repeat the treatment for a year or so.
